This project for the transfer of load on new Primary Substations shall provide power supply to new bulk project, relief the neighboring primaries and provide power supply security for the growth in power demand in Abu Dhabi Island.
Two Primary Substations shall be installed to achieve the objective of this project. The load of the existing neighboring Primary Substa-tions shall be transferred to these new 132/11 KV Primary Substations in addition to the new development bulk loads like Danet Abu Dhabi, Fish Market, Nareel Island, Nation Towers, etc, The Primary Substations are E40 and W41.
The works which where carried out under this contract are summarized as following:
Preparation of final construction drawings based on tender drawings/proposals including survey of proposed and revised route if any as per GIS drawings /trial pits/duct crossing/asphalt cutting/interlock tile removing and complete the shop drawing and ob-taining NOC’s from various stakeholders and governmental authorities.
Collection from ADDC stores, transport to site, installation, testing and commissioning of 11 KV, 3core 300 Sqmm and 3core 240 Sqmm, XLPE cables (free issue) , Total cable laid under the contract—100 KM.
Collection from ADDC stores, transport to site, installation, testing and commissioning of Fibre Optic Cables (free issue).
Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of Fibre optic cable joints, Fibre optic cable (FOC) termination panel/cubicle, includ-ing all necessary material, connections and accessories, etc. complete as per the scheme.
Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 11 KV Straight through joints and terminations (indoor type) for the new/existing cables .
Collection of 11 KV indoor termination kits (Plug in type) from ADDC stores, installation, testing and commissioning.
Construction of road crossing ducts with required ways by open cut or horizontal directional drilling (NDRC) and reinstatement as per the requirement of local authorities.
Preparation of As Built drawings after completion of each circuit and uploading the as-built drawings into the drawing systems of ADDC.
Dismantling TRM/QRM/Substation along with foundation disconnection of cables, clearing the site as per Abu Dhabi Municipality/Town Planning Department (TPD) requirements.
